Do Physicists See U2 As Incestuous Jackoffs?

Ever wonder why the band U2 chose that name?

Did you know if one looks at the band's name U2 in chemical nomenclature, it makes them incestuous jackoffs?

No shit, Uranium is a decay chain element, which means the radiation eventually dwindles it into thorium, which is a different element altogether, which is why it's called the "daughter of uranium." A small '2' next to an element's letter without the presence of other elements makes it a diatomic molecule like Oxygen, meaning it bonds with itself, making it a jackoff.

I can't tell whether I might be a Physicist at heart, or whether my mind just works a bit differently, making me epically bad at telling jokes.

On the other hand, I stand by it--how many decay chain element jokes are there in the world, and how comparatively good are any of them?

Yep, believe it or not, transmutation is an actual reality, despite everyone saying it was bullshit. You're not going to get rich off it, because nothing transmutes into gold fast enough to make any money, but if you need an alloying element for usein welding electrodes, and you're sitting on a shitload of uranium, you are fucking set!

FRINGE Science Fiction Series

I just got the entire series of Fringe in super high quality, and I'm going to watch this show until my eyes bleed!

FRINGE might be the greatest and most realistic science fiction show ever made. It's hard to argue, because there are a lot of great ones out there, but it's definitely towards the top.

Good Morning Gibi: How To Wake Up As the Happiest Man In the World

If you have an Oculus, you so totally have to do this. Sleep with a cozy sleeping cap, earplugs, and a sleeping blindfold with gel cups that blackout all light, and keep your Oculus next to your bed. When you start waking up, without opening your eyes, slide the Oculus on while slipping off the blindfold, with youtubeVR set 2 minutes into this video past the ad, and the rest is self explanatory.

Quiet and calm, pretty and pleasant, sensual but not sexual, and it might just be the best way to wake up in the world.

Florida Fucked By the Fickle Finger of Fate

Looks like a Cat 4 hurricane went just under to a Cat 3 at landfall, and giving the finger to Florida again.

I've found the best weather coverage to be from Agenda Free TV, for collective exploitation of technology to give the best coverage, and Reed Timmer, an intense meteorologist on youtube who always has his nose right in the center of every storm, and records it all.

Flying Portapotties Full of Shit Fall From the Sky

Of all the dangers in our world on fire, now we have flying portapotties to deal with. Runaway portapotties have been a scourge for quite some time, but now they're falling from the fucking sky. We can only hope they land on a deserving asshole.

The Most Intense Movies You've Ever Seen

I'm currently watching Cloverfield, and it seems so absolutely real in terms of total chaos. This HAS to be exactly what it was like in NY during 9/11. Just total chaos.

Fletch Lives: Salute To The Master Race

Is it my imagination, or does Fletch sound remarkably like Hitler announcing the Invasion of Poland? If he screams "papier bitte!" or "auslander aus!" I'm going to shit myself.

You be the judge!

DANGER CLOSE!!! Protect Your Loved Ones From Computer Memory

ALL COMPUTER MEMORY ON THE MARKET IS REALLY PISSED OFF AND READY TO KILL SOMEONE!!!

Have you ever taken a look at all the names of computer memory out there? They're all named after violent felon behaviors that you don't want anywhere near your kids.

Corsair Vengeance? Why would reciprocal retribution play any role in quality computer memory?

Corsair Dominator? That one sounds like a dominatrix out of Hellraiser with a flogger covered in razorblades, doesn't it?

Kingston Fury Impact? Holy shit, that's escalating from anger to rage, isn't it? it's just a matter of time before it shoots a family member or robs a bank.

Kingston Fury Beast? That will tear off your leg and beat you to death with it.

OLOy WarHawk? Okay, that's clearly someone ready to attack an enemy screaming from the sky.

Team T-Force Delta? That's military on the face of it.

Patriot Viper? A patriotic snake that will bite and kill you?

G.Skill Ripjaws? That's clearly named after a goddam cannibal or someone attacked and had their jaw ripped from their skull--that one, by the way, is in all my laptops, and I shudder to think what it will do to housekeeping while setting my suite right while I'm not there to protect them. Every time I come back to the hotel, I'm expecting a gory shitshow with everyone dead and splattered with blood and urine.

Why does all the computer memory on the market seem like it's named after a hostage standoff with the police with some psychotic sociopath going batshit in an anger management class?

One thing is for sure, you should never use your computer anymore without locked and loaded weapon in reach, and if it bares its teeth, empty that clip into its face and then run for the hills, because it is NOT fucking around.

Jesus Was A Satanist

This post began as a contribution to a discussion on "satanism," on the WWWP Lives channel, but was sent to pending. I put a lot of thought into it, so I wanted to make sure it doesn't get silenced.

I'm incredibly familiar with Anton LaVey's writings, and like any thinker's writings, there is a lot of wisdom, a lot of bullshit, and a lot of evil--although what deserves to be called "evil" about it is ironically almost never objected to by christians. It's the same story with every thinker, because they all have ideas they're processing, which change over time, and their writings are a snapshot of what they thought at that particular point in their development.

If one is to judge "satanists," it's pretty important to be clear about what is meant by the person using the word--and confusion is rampant because there are so many different perspectives on what it means, most especially by those calling themselves or others "Satanists."

What I mean by the word "satanist" is someone who objectively studies the phenomenon of satan as it exists in every culture.

There is no culture which does not have an ideology of a great "Other," be it an actual being, a group of people, or a religious personification, or whatever else. Pseudospeciation is as human as thumbs. All cultures have it, and it's important to understand the phenomenon as it exists in every culture. To ignore it or to see it as off limits, is to deny oneself understanding of the culture, and how people behave within it, because it's a powerful force in shaping behavior. For this reason, I find it astonishing that christian institutions seem to be the least interested in studying the topic, beyond the basic "Satan is evil" doctrine. I'm not arguing the truth or falsehood of that doctrine, I'm just saying it's as limited as saying "I don't like stuff that sucks." There's a lot more to understand beyond that basic point, so that shouldn't be the end of the thought process, most especially for an institution so obsessed with mastering morality. If you're going to be moral, you have to understand morality, and you're not going to understand it if you don't understand pseudospeciation.

As far as the institutions claiming to be "satanists," most of them fall short of the most important core value they claim to have, which is to remain the prideful outcast who refuses to join a group, rejects Groupthink, and is faithful in accusing institutions and thier leaders despite the social consequences of exclusion. There's no point in claiming to be a satanist, while rejecting its most fundamental quality just to be part of a group. That's not being a "satanist," that's the opposite of being a "satanist."

To my mind, these are the worthy virtues and common denominators that are constitutional to any positive idea of being a "satanist," and by this definition, Jesus was the ultimate satanist--there can be no question about that. He was the world heavyweight champion of defying institutions and kicking the shit out of clergy for being evil--that's why he got crucified in the first place, for flogging the shit out of priests in their own temples and kicking over their money tables--and that started a major world religion. Anyone disagreeing with this, isn't doing so based on an objective perspective of the behavior, but to protect and conform to religious dogma, which of course is programmed by the same clergy that crucified Jesus in the first place, then co-opted his popularity and spun the story to their benefit. If you really respect Jesus, you really need to question your loyalty to clergy. Most don't. Jesus hated clergy, and every last word he spoke and every experience described in the entire bible supports that statement.

The satanist, as I've defined the term, will also understand that being an American means being a satanist. Our country was founded by rebellion against the most powerful ruler in the world at the time, and our rebellion took the form of a cascading array of waves of felonies, followed by the Declaration of Independence. We judged the God of England and we won, then we outlawed nobility entirely in our country, and shaped our government, long term, to be "a nation of laws and not of men." That's a fancy way of rejecting the Cult of Personalities that constitute religion. To be an American is to be a Satanist.

Of course, most people have very undeveloped ideas about this because they've never studied the phenomenon of satan or satanism, and so they either oppose any instance of the terminology, and anyone who uses the terminology, or they think they're being a genius rebel in subscribing to one of the institutions who claim to be Satanists.

Once again, the core value described above conflicts with joining an institution and embracing Groupthink. If they were actually satanists, they'd never claim to be, and they'd never join an institution. A church of satan is a contradiction in terms. There can be no church of satan because the most salient feature of the phenomenon is defiance of institutions.

Because of this conflict of mutually exclusive principles, the people one will meet in any group of "satanists" are going to be a bunch of people who got it all wrong. I've talked to a lot of these people, and there's a lot to like about them on the surface, but it's also a haven for really fucked up people who are concealing fucked up behaviors you don't want anything to do with--just like any church of any religion. This is not unique to "satanist" institutions, but it's true of them as well.

The bottom line is that people are people wherever you go. In any large population, you will see the full range of human behavior, no matter what the organizing principle is, and the things they write and organize over are going to all contain the full range of moral features--some will be great, some will be horrifying, some will be clever, some thoughtless, some will be safe, others dangerous, with a lot that deserves to be called "good" or "evil."

Humanity is cursed with the false notion that there exists some group where this isn't true, and if we can only find the right group to be a part of, we can be forever safe from all harm. This is a Big Lie. If we do not take precautions, we will come to harm anywhere.

It's not your enemies, but those you are most loyal to who are positioned to do you the most harm. Jesus understood this, which is why he kicked the clergy's ass.

Mr Bumpass Bangs a Corpse

They say if you give a dog a bad name, he'll live up to it. I always thought that sentiment was woefully mistaken, considering dogs often have a limited vocabulary and capacity for association. With humans it makes sense though.

I can only imagine surviving high school with the name Bumpass is what led Mr Bumpass to murder someone and then bang her corpse.

I can't help but shudder to think how my own life would have turned out if, at an early age, I hadn't changed my given name, Massacre Sheamale Corpsefucker to John Smith. It was good idea that just keeps on giving, because these days, my biggest offense is getting the wrong amount of creamer in my coffee, and that only offends myself. Believe it or not, I have never fucked a dead body in my entire life--which these days probably makes me a minority.

Anyway, I think we can all agree Mr Bumpass is an asshole, and hope he gets passed around the brothers in the yard until even his doctor can't tell his fart from a yawn. What a fuckin dick. I mean, I know he's from Ohio, but there's a limit.
