Twin Peaks: The Secret of Laura Palmer
I cant belive after all these years, David Lynch finally tells us what Rosie Palmer said to Cooper in the dancing midget dream. It's reasonably sexy, but not really germaine to the story. Oh well, at least it's a mystery solved. Llamafuckin pervert.
The Ku Klux Klan Appoints DEI Czar
David Duke has become such a pussy since he married into the Panthers.
Honestly, a "reparations" lemonade stand?
...and when did the KKK start doing winetastings?
I can't believe they're joining
forces with BLM.
The Presidential Chin Dildo
I think we need to bring back chin dildos for world leaders. The ancient Egyptian Pharoahs had it right--if you want your subjects to take you seriously, you damn well better glue a dildo to your chin.
Allison Hannigan's Box Takes A Beating
I'll say this for the young lady--she's come a long way since jamming a flute up her pussy at Band Camp. She's takin' it like a champ, and I gotta say she does me proud. :)
Blind Faith
I just got back from my favorite gallery, to view my favorite statue, Richard McDonald's Blind Faith--a symbol of a man in extremis, and at the height of his powers, in contorted readiness to achieve the greatest moment of his life, and with such practiced mastery as to do so blindfolded.
Historically, most art showing it's object in contorted extremis is the crucifixion, which has been the most popular theme of art for millennia.
It gives me a Twilight Zone smile that stretches across the stars to see the billionaires of Vegas saying, "you know what, fuck glorifying a bind, torture, kill execution--its like a funeral that never ended. Let's sculpt someone winning in the world as an example to our patrons, instead of yet another reminder of their hero getting his ass kicked in the most miserable and humiliating possible way. Let's give people something to aspire to, instead of something else to kill their spirit."
I'd say that art is not only timeless, it deserves to be timeless.
With a little more deliberation in the choice of their pursuits, all men would perhaps become essentially students and observers, for certainly their nature and destiny are interesting to all alike. In accumulating property for ourselves or our posterity, in founding a family or a state, or acquiring fame even, we are mortal; but in dealing with truth we are immortal, and need fear no change nor accident. The oldest Egyptian or Hindoo philosopher raised a corner of the veil from the statue of the divinity; and still the trembling robe remains raised, and I gaze upon as fresh a glory as he did, since it was I in him that was then so bold, and it is he in me that now reviews the vision. No dust has settled on that robe; no time has elapsed since that divinity was revealed. That time which we really improve, or which is improvable, is neither past, present, nor future.
Saying things by doing them is the best of all languages, and what we do well is done well forever. No one can take away the moment of truth. It can be won or it can be lost, but when we win, that moment is permanent currency, and the one form of wealth that can never be stolen.
Ron Jeremy Scolds SF Health Department For Army Of Government Agents Dressed As 10 Foot Cocks Kissing Babies For Syphilis
How fucked up is our shitty, shitty, very shitt world, when Ron Fuckin Jeremy is the voice of sanity, morality, and reason?
The perverts are really out in force!
Stupid Beauty, Pretty Music, and Bad Advice
I'm listening to Madonna's Vogue, and this little tidbit caught my ear, and it stuck there, because it's something that I used to think about back when I was 14 and gave a shit about Madonna, because she was reasonably hot 4 decades ago, sounded fun, and wasn't trying to relive her 20s while in approaching 70 after being down on everything but the Titanic, like she is now.
The thing that gives me pause, is that after such an inspiring thought that "If all else fails, then you long to be something better than you are today," her next thought was that apparently her highest ideal of greatness was to dance a jig. My next thought is somewhat predictable--which is that maybe that's why all else has failed, and maybe if we're trying to inspire someone for whom life is kicking square in the balls, perhaps it might be a good idea to aspire to something much greater--THEN if you fail, you aimed at something high, and you'll likely see some kind of success for it, even if not in the form you expected--because effort usually does count, it just sometimes doesn't count right away, and it doesn't count at all if it's effort towards something that doesn't matter. My next thought after that, is how much should we really be scolding Madonna? Isn't it kind of typical that pretty rich sluts are used to getting what they want in other ways than their brainpower? It might be a little unfair to expect more--because that's what she's for, that's what she's good at, that's her role in the world--to make pretty sounds, not to make any sense, and I don't think it's good judgment to hate her for that, any more than it would be to trust her with anything more important than music and dance, and perhaps light machinery. Anything past a can-opener though, and I'm blaming the enabler, dammit. The bottom line here is that maybe we as the audience need to assume more responsibility for good judgement than we ask of stupid spoiled dick-infested man-mattresses whose role in the world is to make pretty sounds. I love Frosty the Snow Whore's pretty sounds--that's what she's good at, and I leave it right there. It's fun, and any advice she gives gets totally ignored.
Let's not forget this is a woman with the most Catholic name in history, who was thrown out of a Jewish cemetery in Israel, because she was stupid enough to hold a press conference there in the middle of the night, announcing she was changing her name to Esther--and the Israeli police stopped by, asked her what the holy sailing fuck she thought she was doing, and told her to fuck right off. Does that smack of genius and expertise? lol
As Thoreau once said, his objection to living in a house was that it could not be moved, so that a bad neighborhood could be avoided, and that in truth, we are often more imprisoned than housed by our houses, and the bad neighborhood to be avoided turns out to be our own wretched selves.
In a similar manner, I envision a world where instead of mocking shitheads and perverts like Madonna, and Stephen King, and Keven Spacey for giving shitty, shitty, very shitty advice to society, that we instead assume the posture of expecting nothing out of them but complete dogshit, and therefore totally fucking ignore their stupid advice--not because they are contemptible, but because we should never have even listened to the advice of people with no knowledge or expertise in the first place, any more than we should hate our car mechanic for giving bad advice on zoology, and just enjoy what she is good at--and apply that rule to everyone in society.
I'm not going to tell you how to rebuild your transmission or neuter a cat safely, but ask me questions about what I'm good at, and my answers will benefit your life. Then again, I'm not in the business of exhibition and popularity--if I were, I would try anything at all to draw a crowd, because that's what popularity and exhibition IS--expect entertainers to refuse to shut up with their bad advice, because they're never going to do that if it draws a crowd. That's the business they're in. Resist them, of course--just remember that when you make logical arguments against their talking points, you're basically arguing with a dog or a cat--there's really nothing epic about tying them up with logic, because they haven't got any.
As my favorite professor in college chanted constantly...
Only expect good advice if you pay for it,
because good advice costs a lot of money.
Advice is free because it's worthless.
I Have Seen the Face of God
In eternity there is indeed something true and sublime. But all these times and places and occasions are now and here. God himself culminates in the present moment, and will never be more divine in the lapse of all the ages.
