THIS is why I retired in Vegas.
Every time I see Mr Blind Faith, I challenge him with a $100 tip if he can play what I name, and I specifically choose the most complex masterpieces I can find.
It doesn’t matter who or what I choose he simply dives into it immediately upon mention. We’ve covered just about everything I can think of, and a forensic accountant could not track how much money he's made off me, but it's worth it--I've got one of the finest musicians in the universe giving me whatever I want the second I put it in his ear (my request, not my penis).
Tonight it was Korsakov‘s Flight of the Bumblebee, and he did it absolutely note-perfect.
Tonight’s night out cost me about half a grand, around half of which went to Mr Blind Faith, and it was worth every single penny.
If you have any difficult in playing this clip change your VPN to Switzerland, where are they still give a shit about freedom of speech in America.
My next challenge will be his rendition of Twin Peaks—which despite its later complexity, with all the soaring emotions it incites, was originally a piano piece, rendered in a hypnotic trance about nighttime forests in Maine, by Angelo Badalamenti, after being contracted by David Lynch.
There simply is no artistic challenge that can break this man’s artistic skill. He is simply of another world.
He is of MY world—a world always grounded, but determined to try. He is proof that a person can become what he does, and in so doing, can create an entirely new world.
