Are you jonesing for a delicious milkshake, but just can't scrape up enough change from your couch's seat cushions? Well, maybe your local hotdog stand can help! All you have to do is cut up your balls so you can never have children again!
Daddy's Dogs hotdog stands, who specialize in helping people eat wieners are offering a free milkshake with proof of a vasectomy, and what a great deal!
Of course, if women ate wieners more often, maybe men wouldn't need a vasectomy in the first place.
So, where do YOU stand on this important issue? Should women eat wieners more often? Is a delicious vasectomy worth swallowing a milkshake?
I struggled to figure out a proper title to this post because every time I see this clip about these psychos going full metal ripshit, all I can think of is "what the fuck? I have no idea what to say or even think about this." lol
There are those who see the face of Jesus in their French Toast, or the Virgin Mary in paint peeling, but how many see clowns in stained glass windows, and is it a miracle that can restore our faith in clowns?
We interrupt this political bullshit programming with a long bunny story! The backstory is that, back in May, a dumb old bear managed to get hizzelf sicker than Hell with sun-poisonng. Not sunburn, but an adverse reaction between full sun, 95+ degrees and antibiotics. Never having fully come back from the event, Dr. Bear recently had to prescribe hizzelf more of the same med -- just in time for this last round of high 90's! It's been keeping me indoors too much this warm season.
The game plan on Saturday was to do the mowing later in the day...to escape Sol's wrath. About 5 PM, I open the overhead garage door and as it's still raising, I'm pushing the Toro outside. Except, right there, in the lawn near the corner of the garage, is my old bunny (who I had recently thought was dead). She was nibbling away at the vast selection of my tall grass (this area is shady, so not burnt by the heat) and the uphill stoner neighbor's invading weeds.
Nibbles just kinda looks up at me, like "Hi Bear!" and keeps on feasting. My old bunny is looking more frail than ever, but still beautiful to me. She knows that there is NO WAY I'm going to start that damn mower and scare her! So, I just hang out in the doorway, talking gently...telling her what a pretty bunny she is...usual stuff. After a few minutes, I decide to go out to the back and let my old bunny enjoy her feasting in peace. When I finally return to the garage, Nibbles is still munching away, so I go inside the cave and play on the puter for a bit.
Come back outside and yes -- Nibbles is still dining! My mower is still resting comfortably, but I'm actually getting tired out from wandering & waiting, so I pull up a chair in the back of the garage and tell my bunny to take her time -- I'm in no great hurry. She does just that. Eventually, she ceases grazing and looks over at me -- still sitting in the chair. Whatever small amount of energy I had started with, 45 minutes earlier, had done up & run away. I might as well be a vegetable.
Nibbles seems to sense this and quite remarkably, she hops up onto the drive, past the evil mower (the noise always scares her) and actually comes a short ways INTO my garage! For a wild bunny to deliberately enter a human habitat is very weird. She stops, rises up on her hind paws and looks around at all the strange man-made stuff, before focusing on me again. It was as though she was saying, "Hey, Bear! Are you okay? Thanks for being patient with me!" After a few moments, she backed out of the garage (like a horse in an old western movie), turned and slowly hopped off into the bushes -- away from where she knew I'd soon start mowing. It was magical.
The film revolves around Los Angeles Times reporter Irwin M. "Fletch" Fletcher, who is offered a large sum of money to kill a millionaire (by the millionaire himself) who supposedly has a terminal cancer prognosis. Fletch becomes suspicious when he discovers the man is not ill; when he continues to investigate, his life is threatened.
This poor guy is going through every level of frustration and rage a man can possibly go through in trying and failing to make an ad, and possibly because he's a salesman and just totally fucking it up, it might literally be the funniest thing I've ever seen. lol
I think I've unlocked the key to nostalgia--why it is that we hark back to "the good ol' days." I think we tend to remember the good times a lot more as we get older, well, because we get older. Good and bad memories have a tendency to become better and worse with age respectively, because we've had longer to dwell on them, and they wear a deeper path into our nervous system. Also, because the further we go back, the younger we are, and the more focused our minds were on deriving pleasure, at the time we made those memories.
I actually really like nostalgia and indulge in it frequently--but I also recognize that it's entirely subjective and about what's going on in my life, with my memories, as I value them, according to my own experiences--and I think we can really fool ourselves when we fail to recognize how individual nostalgia is, even when shared with others over common experiences. There's no reason at all to think of nostalgia objectively. The "good ol' days" were really only good as we are remembering them. It's not like good things had a monopoly on the zeitgeist, or that bad things weren't happening, there was plenty of suck, it just sucked in different ways than we're thinking about those time periods.
I think it's also worth mentioning that Rod Serling, in many of his lectures on film making, which I've only recently been watching, since they weren't available before youtube, was influenced a lot by the phenomenon of nostalgia and used it extensively in the Twilight Zone. I believe the point I'm making here is actually something he was kind of obsessed with, where someone is caught up in nostalgia, and there's some turning point in his or her reveries, where the inobjectivity of nostalgia shocks the system. For some reason I can't think of a lot of examples right off the top of my head, but I'll post them as they occur.
I recently bought some totally unnecessary shit at a store, and the clerk asked me if I'd like to "save the world" by not having a paper receipt. I shit you not--apparently, that's all we have to do is forego a paper receipt, and the entire world will be set right again! Apparently, the only thing that has ever been wrong with the world is the paper we use for receipts. That's good news, don't you think?
